dr.carter wrote:hello all, this is my first post.
i am a doctor and fast approaching retirement.
i have been visiting thailand for many years, and i am considering making either hua-hin or cha-am my home.
i am a little concerned about the level of violence recently in hua-hin,having said that i am also quite concerned about recent events in cha-am.
could any body offer some sound honest advice.

Thailand has become a quite unsafe country for farangs and inflation has brought prices up to or close to those of the western world. You may wish to reconsider making Hua Hin or Cha Am your preferred location. I don't know where you are from but perhaps you should think about finding a suitable location in your home country where you are familiar with the language and local customs. Good luck.
