I'm sure you are, but I just thought I'd ask before I venture another guess...

We are keeping this clean I hope? We're not in the 'Nightcrawlers', now.

It's a fairly recent movie and is as clean as a whistle

Couple of extra clues as I'm off-line for 4 days. Lost in Cambodia

The year is 1903 and kicks off in New Zealand

Tracker 2011

British-New Zealand action-thriller film set in 1903 New Zealand, directed by Ian Sharp and starring Ray Winstone and Temuera Morrison.

An Afrikaner veteran of the Boer War has just immigrated to New Zealand and is hired to track a man accused of killing a soldier. While hunting through the countryside he captures his fugitive, only to learn that he's innocent of the crime. When faced with the life changing decision to turn him in or set him free only one man will walk away alive.

Raymond Chander's novels redefined American detective fiction. His character Philip Marlowe redefined the hard boiled detective. Who played Marlowe on the big screen? Bonus points for matching actor with film title. Extra credit for naming the director.

Is it Ingrid Bergman, Pete? If so I will leave it for somebody else to identify the movie.

It's definitely not Ingrid Bergman, but I did see a headline on the BBC site today about the last Casablanca actress dying - no idea who she is though.
