Another icon from my childhood pops his clogs after a good long innings.
I loved The Avengers - and the young Diana Rigg fuelled many pubescent fantasies...

I remember watching the show dubbed into French (weird!) during an exchange visit - the French title was "Bowler Hat & Leather Boots"...!
