South Hua Hin Quiz: where and what is this.....?
Well, there's (very enjoyable) quizzes all over the forum at the moment, so why not add another of interest purely based on (South of Hua Hin) Thailand? A bit of fun for the experienced (in travel) and an education for the likes of myself who love Thailand but don't really know it!!

Its a one-third size concrete aircraft carrier in Lang Suan, built for some military dude who was buddies with HM.

Looks interesting though - anyone been?
On the ''James Bond Island'', I always thought it was just off Koh Phi Phi (?), and there were restrictions on tourists to Phi Phi as it was a nature reserve of sorts (?) Was ''The Beach'' also filmed there?
Probably totally confused between different places, but there you go - my excuse is I'm Welsh

The beach was made on a small island close to Pi Pi and they charge you to step on the beach. JB island is further north

On our trip last year we took the boat tour.
Beautiful area with lots of picturesque islands. Our boat driver took us to some outlaying islands with interesting scenes, etc.
If you go prices vary greatly. We found a dock where there were quite a few boats offering tours. Mrs M and I in a boat for 4 hours, 1,000bt before tip.

Did a 5 day cruise on this 6 years ago Leave Pi Pi and cruise the islands under sail and arrive back at Phuket. Sleeps 10 and everything all in except wine and spirits
Eat on board, snorkel and dive. Exotic. Thank goodness I was not paying the bill
