There used to be one that advertised on here but I think its closed.

You can definitely get a fill in Bangsaphan, but its a little far to drive!

Are these people still operating? They mention a centre in Sam Roiyod:

Hi

I believe that the one in Dolphin Bay has closed also Ban Krut
If I want to go diving now I usually go to Chumphon, there is a hotel with diving shop attached the Cabana.

Cheers.

Agree, there is no dive operation in Ban Krut, but as said above you can definitely get fills and dive in Bangsaphan.

Also agree that the islands off Chumphon are pretty good - couldn't really imagine where you'd dive out of Pranburi/SRY but then that wasn't the question I suppose!

I do not dive, or even go to the ocean for that matter! But I have to ask if you have looked at buying an air compressor, and what ever else you need in the way of filters and fittings, and do it yourself?
There is now a vast array of portable air compressors available, both electric and petrol engine driven.

Dolphin Bay, west and south side of Monkey island for spear fishing!

As for setting up your own compressor, just not cost effective if there is someone close that fills tanks. You need 3000 lbs and a good dryer and oil removal filter on the compressor.

And your point is?

I do make it more challenging by using an Hawaiian spear not a spear gun!

Being a certified diver since 1977, I have dived in some really nice locations around the world.

I would be interested to hear about your experiences around Dolphin Bay. I did a lot of free diving a well.
Might be fun to go check it out.

So let us know how it goes.

Got certified in I think 82 +/- also have been diving all over the world. Just got here 2 months ago for my retirement. Haven't got in the water yet with tanks. My container of "stuff" just got here a week ago and I'm starting to get the itch which is why I'm looking for somewhere to get air! Closest to here I've ever dove is Koh Samui on this side and all over the Krabi and Andiman Sea area. Spent some significant time on Phi Phi and Koh Mook in '04 just before Tsumani.
First order of business....AIR!

Didn't really have the wettest of rainy seasons in Dolphin Bay but there's water in the marshes again that were all dry in June! It's been mild lately, really liking the weather over the past month.
