looking for a pool with access to the beach

Post by Johanna »

Hi,

Don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, otherwise moderator put it in the right section.

Anyway, I am looking for a place where they have a pool.
Just to go there for a few hours.
I prefer near the beach, so I can go in the sea and in the pool v.v.
Loungers for relaxing and a bar/restaurant would make it complete.
I did Contact some hotels, only Sofitel was so kind to reply my mail, but not possible there.

Been twice to the Hyatt for a meal and then after I could use the pool for free {have no problem if they would charge me} and from the pool I could walk to the sea.
Is there somewhere in Hua Hin/ koh Takiab a place like this ?

Thanks.

Hi the Sport Villa is a nice place to have a swim, also the food is good and a bottle of beer is 35 baht they charge 40 baht for the whole day there is also a gym there.
It's opposite the new Marakesh condo's now painted light green just before the fly over on the right hand side going out of town.

Thanks for the reply Kendo.
Been there a few weeks ago for taking a look.
It was pretty crowded and not what I am looking for.
Do look for something at or attached to the beach.

So I keep in searching.

Hi Johanna

Have you tried the Intercontinental Hotel? They have a nice pool/beach setup. Was there about a year ago and loafed around by the pool. I did have a mate staying there but often with these places if you rock up and take over one of the sun loungers and order a few drinks or a meal - you can blend in as a guest of the hotel.

Blue Wave in Khao Takiap has a pool only about a few hundred metres away from the sea.

Anantasila Resort, Khao Takiab.
Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?

The Hilton used to have a gym membership that also provided parking in their underground garage, discounts in their shops and restaurants, as well as free use of their pool with the gym ID card. I was a member a while ago so I don't know if it is still the same, but if you are also interested in a gym, exercise classes, tennis, or squash (which were also included), it may be worth checking into.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Anantasila Resort, Khao Takiab...lovely beach. If you spend a certain amount there they let you use the pool, chairs etc. Lovely loungers on the beach, pretty bar on beach.

Thanks Siani, this sounds lovely.
Gonna check this out.

* update *
I called the IC hotel. There you have to spend 1000 thb a person on drinks/food if you want to use to pool.

Been twice to the Hyatt for a Sunday brunch and afterwards I could use the pool for free.
If you go there without a brunch in cost 500 thb a person.

Holiday inn Cha am is not possible.

Nice pics Siani.
Parking is no issue for me because I have no car or motorbike.
I "have" a very nice tuk tuk driver who I can call all the time.

Check Veranda Lodge. Pricey, but has pool and is right on the beach.
