As with most things Hua Hin City this season, it won't be available until NEXT WEEK :banghead:

Seriously, I don't think children's sizes are available yet. After all, we're only half way through the season. Your friend could try a small or medium. The 2 shops I know that might be selling them (many outlets are still trying to offload last year's shirts. so be sure he knows what this season's shirt looks like) are situated on Petchkasem Road just South of Soi 70 traffic lights (looks very pokey). That's where I got my shirts. If they don't have them, cross the road and go down Soi 55/1 Alley. When you get to the end, turn right and a few yards down is a sports shop that was selling them.

Alternatively, he could come to this weeks match (although I didn't see shirts on sale last week). It's a good day out whether he gets a shirt or not.

Have searched a few places in Hua Hin without luck.
Anybody any ideas where such a shirt may be purchased.
Cheers
Can tell him where to get a Dusit Thani Football Academy shirt  . Hotel's shop, night market or at the pitch on training or matchdays. All sizes available from 2-year olds up to XXL. Pop alfong for the Arsenal friendly on Sunday morning.

Back to topic, the Shop Big Boy mentions is Kongkij Sports, owner Mr Tee's boy played for DTHHFA. Nice guy, speaks passable English and believe he has/had the Hua Hin shirts. Certainly would not describe the shop as pokey BB, the hotel buys there sometimes :D .

I've never been inside. Due to parking restrictions around there, I dropped Mrs BB outside and picked her up later i.e. it was either a Hua Hin City or a Hua Hin City shirt -I didn't have to choose

I have checked with Mrs BB again this morning, and she confirms it is a very small shop.

The work 'pokey' was used to help Ropes identify the premises, not a criticism. It must have the smallest sports shop frontage in Hua Hin.

Time to bump this one. A really big game today - arguably the biggest of the season so far. Why not come along to see your local team take on the league's runaway leaders, as Hua Hin City strive for another Champions League placing.

UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City 1 - 1 Sakhon Nakhon

Another 2 points lost, but what a difference to the last game.

Before I start, a very large crowd, nicely boosted by more Farangs than I can remember at a Hua Hin match. I guess the word is getting around that there's half decent football to be seen at Fort Thanarat. :D

The big news today was that only one Brazilian, Andre was playing. Anucha and Nuttapong were both fit again, but remained on the bench. Lucas was suspended for today's game. He was replaced by No.29 - sorry I don't have my squad nuber to name cribsheet with me this week as my laptop is on holiday.

Hua Hin were basically playing the same tactics as last week, but the tactics worked very well today because Nakhon Sakon were chasing yet another victory - they had won all but one game so far this season. Today Hua Hin were able to play good football.

Hua Hin went a goal behind to Sakhon Nakhon after about 16 minutes, it was their only attept on goal in the first half and a very well worked goal it was. However, Hua Hin were well on top, and the goal was against the run of play. Even though Andre wasn't as potent without his brother, he still managed to slot home the equaliser ( I'd mentally credited the goal to Yonsak  ).

Key pointers about Hua Hin...... Shota had a shocker (by his standards). He missed a couple of balls completely. Pu played his usual rock solid game at the back. No. 20 impressed me several times. Yonsak is getting better, but still only half the player he used to be. The overlapping full back system is improving weekly.

Andre had to come off the pitch after one too many fouls on him, and was really missed. As well as being a very powerful player going forward, he has the ability to hold the ball up, while waiting for play to catch up with him. Neither Anucha nor Nutthapong have that skill. Hua Hin did look a little shakey for a few minutes after he came off, but with 2 championship winning forwards available, we soon settled again.

Unfortunately a winning goal never came, but an excellent effort by Hua Hin, and a game that I really enjoyed.

Next week it's away to Phetburi, which is a local derby and I expect a bumper crowd to travel on Saturday with a 17:30 kick off.

The away leg of this year's local derby is this Saturday when we take on Phetburi (Petchaburi) at Donkan Stadium with a 17:30 K.O. Transport to the ground will be provided free of charge by the club. If interested please ask for details.

Last season's derby was a fantastic atmosphere, and Hua Hin had a huge following.

In recent weeks there have been many expressions of pessimism in anticipation of upcoming games against the leagues two unbeaten sides, firstly Seemok and then Samut Sakhon but not from me. The degree of concern, worry even fear expressed was for me unwarranted as Hua Hin had already shown themselves to be a cut above most if not all teams we had already played this season regardless of the results or performances. Seemok came and went away pinching a point but as a football team were poor, however as their league position shows they can not be dismissed as a challenger for a top 2 place because of the sheer physical nature of their play but Hua Hin are a far better football team. Samut Sakhon lost their unbeaten record two weeks ago but for the first time this season Hua Hin came up against a side of real quality.

The game was a cracker and by far the best football match viewed this season. Two very good sides who both wanted to play football trying to win the game without the usual theatricals and persistent game delaying stoppages. The referee and his fellow officials played a big part in this as well, generally allowing the game to flow and not being conned by the odd dive. Their decision making was very good and they to deserve credit for the part they played in making this such an enjoyable game.

Hua Hin starting line up was as I expected and had talked about during the week. Da (No. 5) and No. 24 coming back after injury, No.29 playing upfront and No. 31 coming in instead of the club captain Kanchit at right back who has had a run of poor games. Hua Hin immediately picked up where they had left off after last weeks impressive performance and played with even greater tempo and control and dominated first half possession. Samut Sakhon took the lead with there first and only attack of note in the first period. A poor corner to the edge of the six yard box was headed on unchallenged with the Hua Hin full back, his marker 3 metres off him and then the scorer losing his marker, Andre, and heading in again unchallenged. A poor defensive goal. Any worries about Hua Hin being able to get back in the game were soon dispelled as they continued to create some decent chances without the bit of luck needed to finish. The equaliser came from a good run from Andre down the left before firing the ball across the goal to be turned in by one of Samuts central defenders. A well deserved leveller.

The second half continued in a similar fashion to the first with both sides creating chances Aerial balls into the Hua Hin box caused a few problems for Shota whose handling was not as clinical as usual. Hua Hin had quite a few shots but could not make that one clean strike that probably would have settled the game. Overall a draw was probably a fair result although I thought Hua Hin edged the game in terms of possession and chances. A win and three points would have been nice but defeat would have been a disaster so I can live with one point.

Hua Hin were set up to play 4-4-2 but have been practicing all week changing that to 2-4-4 when they were attacking with the two wide midfielders pushing up to give width and supply to the forwards and the two full backs pushing into midfield. I thought generally they executed the plan well. Yongsak was the one player to disappoint. Too many times he gave the ball away needlessly and provided only limited service from wide right. No. 20 ran himself into the ground before eventually being substituted but did excellent work in midfield along with No. 24 would also had a good game. For me the outstanding player was No. 27, he was everywhere. Helped the defence, was up supporting the attack, played the ball around superbly and had some decent shots. Well done to him.Andre also tried to play two positions in the absence of his brother, split between his normal centre forward role and also spending a significant amount of time creating from the wide left position. He eventual had to come off and made way for Anucha. He has hardly trained for 2 weeks and could not have been fit and it showed. Pu and Da had their usual solid game at the centre of the defence, they really are a great pairing. Kanchit made a fleeting appearance from the subs bench but did little to enhance his chances of a recall. Twice he badly sold himself putting the Hua Hin defence under pressure. Fortunately we weren't punished.

On to next week and an away game at Petchaburi. Not a long trip and a local derby. I hope we have a big following there. Start planning, encourage your friends to go and lets all enjoy another great day out and return with three points. Howay Hua Hin!

I still think the pessimism was warranted. Your counter view of most games has given me a bit of a complex, so after the Globlex match, I asked a lot of people what they thought - every one of them agreed it was a shambles, and the coach had his tactics wrong. Or at least the Globlex coach had his tactics right and we didn't change our tactics accordingly.

I still maintain that our new coach has done a brilliant job transforming the team from kick and rush players to a proper footballing side, and I believe with his national Coach hat on, he will bridge the gaps (tall midfielders?) in the forthcoming transfer window. If he hadn't come along when he did, I hate to think what Simork and Sakhon Nakhon would have done to us. Wearing a Hua Hin City shirt does not guarantee success alone - we needed somebody to pull our undoubted pool of talent together, and I'm happy we've got the right person in that position.

Pessimistic or not, today's team is not team we had several weeks ago before we secured our new coach.

What I agree on is that we are well placed to have a fantastic second half of the season. However, we mustn't under estimate Phetburi - it's a local derby, and they are our bogey team.

This week's visit to Khao Takiab to look at progress on the new stadium.

At last I can make some sort of sense regarding what is going on when comparing with the drawings/artists impression.
