Scooters

Post by PeteC »

Oe,for those of us not living in HH, perhaps you can explain a little bit more about these scooters. Why "classic", are they antiques? If they are old, vintage models, how and where can you find spare parts to keep them in good repair? Cheers. Pete

Thanks Oe. You should be proud of your English, it is clear and understandable and, you write with humor which makes your posts fun to read.

I do have a suggestion concerning motor bike rental to tourists. Many tourists want to rent a bike who have never been on one or, it's been many years since they have. Each should be given a short driving test consisting of maneuvering through a few traffic cones, a few right and left turns, a 360 degree turn, and a few stops and start up's. If they look terrible or unsure, the establishment should not rent to them. I think this would avoid many accidents, injuries and even deaths here, especially in Pattaya where the volume of bikes and tourists is so large. Pete

NOng oe does this already , she does ask for a minimum of a provisional motorcycle License or if the customer has experiance with the classic motor scooter ,a quick evaluation is always done before they leave with instruction on basic checks , fueling and safe use :thumb:

I always make sure to all of my customers that they are following the rules and law and agree with hire details and they have to read it very careful and signed up before they can take the classic vehicle out off my place. (and cash at front…heh heh heh)
Anyone who want to know what I will telling you when you are comes here to hire my classic vehicles THAT you have to comes and HIRE so you will know how much I have talking about it before you can be able to take it run on the road! And you might telling me ‘Oe you are pain in the a*se’

Oe, on being a pain in the rear you actually are doing a great service for those about to rent a scooter
from you. You make sure they they know how to handle the beast, make sure they have the right kind
of documents and make sure they'll enjoy it all.

A very responsible and laudable attitude.

Cheers!
