Harrier Sponsored Trivia Quiz

Post by BUSHWHACKER » Thu Apr 05, 2012 6:24 pm

The local Hash House Harriers runners, walkers and would-be quizmasters have been putting together some interesting and fun Pub Quizzes as something else to do besides run hash trails and we've enjoyed doing it at the Cha Am Pub for a couple months and most recently at Terrace 90 where Nat provided a delicious buffet of finger foods during the beer, margaritas and other cocktails along with a main course of tender roast pork, excellent mashed potatoes, delicious gravy and more for 100 baht. We Hashers are looking at doing another quiz there soon.
If there is anyone out there who would like to join the hash and assist in putting a quiz together just step up to the plate. If you have half a mind to join the hash that is all you need.

This is a run for runners and a hike for hikers in the area of the forest park where you might get a glimpse of some mangrove dwellers close up. We are much more social than athletic. Questions? Ask Bushwhacker 0850887181. For more about the Hash House Harriers go to www.huahin-hhh.com

Group Mountain Bike Ride

Post by BUSHWHACKER » Thu Oct 18, 2012 5:04 am

Hua Cha Hash Pedalers have set a course for next bike hash just north of Cha Am.
The Hua Cha Hash Pedalers are a group of bicyclists who meet at least monthly for a group ride which is generall in the Hua Hin / Cha Am vicinity. Trails are usually about 30km long and on a variety of terrain. We generally try to avoid busy roads. Sometimes the trails are suitable for all types of bicycles but more often are more suited for bikes with fat tires. Everyone is welcome to join. No fees or dues of any kind. Participants are requested to bring along tire repair kits and of course some drinking water.

Next Ride is Tuesday, 30 October Est distance: 35km

Go to Santorini Park where the Ferris Wheel is found just north of Hua Hin. This is at about the 199km marker on Petchkasem. Park in the parking lot located behind the park.
We will leave there at 0900.
We will be on dirt tracks in the outback so you will need a mountain bike as skinny tires will not go well in the sandy spots. We'll be on cattle paths meandering thru gum trees where you will see Koala Bears if you are lucky. We'll ride the sandy perimeter of pineapple fields, go thru the abandoned Cha Am Villa Golf Course and then along klong road back to the start at Santorini Park where there is plenty to eat & drink. Come along and bring a friend.

Bike Burma to Beach

Post by BUSHWHACKER » Sat Dec 29, 2012 6:08 am

There is a sleasy (slow & easy) bike ride planned for 16 January which will provide an opportunity for bike rider young and old, fit or fat, to ride from the border of Burma completely across Thailand (at narrowest point) and we are hoping to draw more participants than we did last year. There is no participation fee and the only reward is the fun of doing this. Participants will be provided a certificate for completing the bike phase of annual Odyssey of Endurance.
