Hua Hin & Cha Am Hash House Harriers

Post by Lev »

Hua Hin & Cha Am Hash House Harriers
RUN, WALK, OR CRAWL!
Every week the Hash House Harriers meet up at a new location for a 1 hour run/walk/crawl around the wilds of Hua Hin/Cha Am followed by an hour's drinking and socialising (All in for 150Baht for drinkers, 100 for non-drinkers) those who wish then move on to a local eatery to continue the party.

The Runners trail is normally 6-8 Kms long (Depending on terrain) while the walkers trail is normally between 3-5 Kms. The group is very much of a social club, with an emphasis on having fun and exploring our surroundings.

We're not some ultra-fit runners club, we're a group ranging in ages between 2 and 72 who enjoy getting muddy and drinking a few beers (Well, not the 2 year olds, obviously)

If you're interested--join us. If you need help getting there, or any additional information please contact one of the Mis-Management committee from the websites:

http://www.cah3.info/

On this thread you'll also find directions to our next "Run" as well as some recaps of our most recent "Runs"

What a seedy looking lot!... especially that 5th one from the left kneeling in the front row in the first photo. Looks like an old American squid! :D

Seriously though, I even got out there with these guys for a couple of months. If you need/want a little exercise in the outback (and can take the heat) and a lot of socializing with a great bunch of folks, give them a try. Very nice, fun group, (especially the old American squid  ).
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Post by bcrglobal »

Please be warned: These are referred to in Hash circles as MIS-directions. They may be confusing, they may be inaccurate, but they will generally get you somewhere in the vicinity of the Hash run.

Directions to the Run/Walk/Crawl on August 20th:

As usual, Please show up for 16:30 for a 17:00 start (And an 18:00 commencement of the drinking)

Travelling south on bypass hwy from Cha-am, turn left into royal project at 13km marker.
Follow HHH signs about 2.5km to carpark.

From Huahin come up the bypass and do a U-turn (hopefully HHH sign) to head back south and then as above.

Good luck finding us, you're going to need it!

The number of people attending the Hash has been holding steady at 50-65 over the past month or so.....why aren't you coming? It's a great opportunity to meet people and get a little bit of exercise in a social environment.

The Hash is a 1 hour walk or run (Different trails) through the beautiful wilderness surrounding Hua Hin and Cha Am, followed by an hour of drinking/snacking and then off for dinner. Great fun, and a good laugh. Our attendees range in age from 3 to 83 (The former tend to be more mature than the latter), We're Americans, Brits, Norwegians, Swedes, Finns, French, Australian, New Zealanders, South Africans, Dutch, German, Canadian, Thai, Filipino, Chinese.....and probably a few others.

The cost for the run/drinking session are kept very reasonable. Included in the costs are snacks, beer, water, sprite, the ice to keep them all cold, and the occasional surprise.
Kids under 5: FREE!
Kids 5-12: THB50
Non Drinkers: THB100
Lady Drinkers: THB150
Male Drinkers: THB200

Interested in finding our more? Check our websites:
www.Huahin-hhh.com
www.cah3.info

Or drop me a PM or ask on here and I'll be happy to talk you through the mysteries of Hashing.....

We can usually even arrange a ride to the run-site for you if you need one.

If you've got half a mind to try Hashing--That's all you need.

Most Hashers don't require any.....beer is the vital nutrient that fuels the crawl.
