I was starting to think there wouldn't be any this year as last year's was announced 3 months ahead in October. I prefer to watch the men as their play is way more powerful and exciting but 3 top 10 women should be pretty good.

Tried to call the ticket number several times last week, no response!
Went to Centennial Park today, no tickets yet!
I was asked to leave contact details and they will get back to me. With 15 days until the event they should have tickets on sale but I suppose this is Thailand.

A tennis tournament with top 10 players announced 3 weeks in advance! lol It's as if they are doing everything they can so nobody goes.

But seriously though I wouldn't worry about it. I highly doubt it will be sold out and it will probably be general admission, so I suggest just go the day of, that's what I'll do anyways. I read the tickets are 2,000 baht per day. Not too bad considering the tickets for the challenger tournament last month with almost no players in the top 100 were 500 baht.

Anyone have any idea what time the matches start? No information anywhere online and tried to call and no answer.

TIT - what do you expect?

We try to inform as many local events as possible, but this is the brick wall we constantly hit our heads against :banghead:

I've just checked my usual sources, but I'm sorry, I can't find anything extra in the way of information.

[Edit] Typical, they've spent all of that cash building the place, but don't want to market their product properly - they just expect it to happen. Never fails to amaze me.

lol no problem. Thanks for trying. :) Just thought I would ask here in case anyone knew. I don't live very far away from it so I'll just go around noon and see for myself. I'll report back.

ok so I just got back from there. Forgot to take a photo of the schedule... but I remember by heart so here is the schedule for anyone interested:

Doors open at 3pm

5pm Match # 1 : Radwanska VS Kerber

7pm Match # 2 : Williams (Venus) VS Errani

Price is 2,000 baht for the day. You choose a section on the court but then it's first come first serve for the section you select.

Can anyone please record Venus' matches if you have a recorder? I would pay much money for a copy of those two matches she plays in Thailand. Please!

Watching on TV (venus game just about to start) in HD, there are *lots* of empty seats in all areas - maybe 30-40% empty. I live up the road, drive past it most days and advertising was fairly abysmal.

Perhaps because it is very boring to watch?
