A very convincing 7 - 0 victory to Hua Hin City. A brace a piece for Dorian and Arnon. A hat trick for Amos.

Hua Hin City 2 - 1 Ratchaburi B

On the back of last week's victory, it was important that we beat Ratchaburi today, as they are the team currently occupying the 5th position that we must have our eyes on, which will be a respectable finish after such a poor start to this season.

With the exception of Roland, who is still not back, Hua Hin were back to full strength today.

The first half saw Hua Hin have most of the chances, but unable to convert a chance into a goal. However, Ratchaburi must be kicking themselves for not going into the break a goal up, when they missed the easiest of chances.

Early into the second half, Amos gave Hua Hin the lead after a series of defensive blunders by the opposition. If Hua Hin's defence had done the same, I would have been disgusted. Hua Hin seemed to be cruising to victory when Amos grabbed a second with a lovely goal.

Almost from the kick off, Ratchaburi clawed themselves back into contention with a fantastic goal. That is how the game finished.

Today's win sees Hua Hin climb to 7th place.

All aboard the Nonthaburi Express next Sunday 20th August to see Hua Hin City take on some old favourites in the Nonthaburi team including Wongsawad, Owusu, Yongak etc. Another 'must win' game.

Of course, the supporters bus is provided free of charge thanks to the generosity of the club's President.

Nonthaburi FC 0 - 4 Hua Hin City

Wow!!! The season's biggest win, yet another leading goal score and a very convincing display sees the team rise to 6th. All of this with a very depleted Hua Hin City side. I think this speaks volumes for the new team squad. I don't think there are any weak links - the whole squad are working brilliantly together as a single unit.

The first half was promising, but we simply overran a stunned Nonthaburi team in the 2nd half.

The Nonthaburi side was fielding 3 former favourites from our league winning side:

- Wongsawad, who was our tireless captain for a couple of seasons
- Stephens, who in my opinion is the best centre half we ever had
- Owusu, who is a hard man, and received a 12 month ban after the incident against Prachuap that cause the Prachuap animals to riot/hospitalise the Hua Hin team.

Fortunately, all 3 players were only shadows of their past.

Wuttichai opened the scoring for Hua Hin, quickly followed by Katchatip. As Nonthaburi battled to get back into the game, Arnon took the opportunity to grab a brace for himself to make him the club's leading goalscorer (goals scored wearing a Hua Hin shirt) this season.

This was also Natchapon's 3rd clean sheet of the season.

This result moves us into 6th place (closing in fast on the second half target of 5th).

Next week sees us play our final home game of the season at home to the other 'in form' team - IPE Samut Sakhon. Personally, I don't think they'll be in the same league, and it should be the 4th consecutive victory.

Come along next week, and bid next season's champions a fond farewell for a few months.
