IPE Samut Sakhon 1 - 2 Hua Hin City

A well deserved win, but the game was overshadowed by a late change to KO time. The team barely got there in time and supporters arrived 30 minutes late. The poor lady on the turnstiles actually thought we'd form an orderly queue. We'd just spent 3 hours on a bus, and were missing the footie - we told them it would be sorted later (it was sorted).

Fortunately, it was still 0-0 when we eventually arrived. 5 minutes later Hua Hin were 2 - 1 up.

Anon opened the scoring with a fantastic shot from the corner of the penalty area that gave the goalie absolutely no chance.

Now, I've been saying all season that Wichan always gifts the opposition with a goal, and today was no exception. I'm sure he'll blame the slippery conditions, but I have my doubts. Probably the easiest goal of the season. If we could take back every Wichan error, we'd be challenging for a Champions League place.

Almost from the restart, new centre forward, Amos found himself on the edge of the penalty area, unmarked, with the ball at his feet. Cool as a cucumber, he slotted the ball home - game over.

Of course, the first half was very short for the MANY travelling fans. The second half was fairly uneventful, dominated by the usual atrocious Thai refereeing, and our Head Coach losing it with officials after the dumbfounding decisions they were making.

A very enjoyable game, some fantastic interaction between team and supporters after the match, and a party on the bus, with dancing in the aisles all the way back to Hua Hin.

Today's 3 points don't make any difference to our lowly league position, although that must start happening soon, especially as our current form gives us a 75% win ratio.

Very sorry that this is late. We've had a minor medical emergency to deal with, and while not too serious, it has been time consuming, and has put my day very behind schedule.

BTU Utd FC 1 – 1 Hua Hin City FC

Today was going to be the hardest test yet for our new-look side. No more using the excuse that many of the team were new, and just getting to know each other. These guys were put together in very fast time, and had hit the ground running. This was their 3rd match together - veterans.

BTU are a good side, sitting just behind the leaders, whilst despite a run of good results, we are struggling to break away from the bottom pack.

Some notable changes this week included Ratchapark back to captain the team, Dorian starting in midfield instead of Ali G and Ali Mohammedi sitting in the stand. The weather was perfect for a good game of football.

The first half was very evenly matched, with both sides coming very close on several occasions. The tempo was fast, and the game itself was very physical. How Hua Hin City have evolved. The boys that played the first half of the season would have been bullied off the ball, but yesterday, Hua Hin’s men were more than a match for the physicality brought to the field by BTU.

The second half saw Katchatip make the vital breakthrough with a well-executed finish after a bit of a goal mouth scramble. BTU were clearly shocked by this, and really knocked their game up a couple of notches, creating assault after assault on the Hua Hin goal. Unfortunately, when upping their game, they started playing on the referee’s compassionate site, constantly complaining. The referee was giving them a sympathetic ear.

It all came to a head in one of the most disgusting episodes I’ve seen on a football pitch. You can always tell when a footballer is really hurt – he lays still (no dramatics). Anon was injured, and lay totally still, half on the field and half off it. When the referee eventually realised it was serious, and stopped play, 2 BTU players, including their goalkeeper ran half the length of the pitch and tried to roll the injured man off the field with absolutely no regard to the injury. These players were not even cautioned for such dangerous ungentlemanly conduct, and this was when the referee completely lost the plot – he was actually ranting at the injured player.

From that point onwards, the referee had totally lost the plot. Ali G was sent off for saying what he thought of him, and Petprasert was booked for not taking a free kick when he was closest to the ball.

Despite this being another game, which was all about the referee, both teams battled very hard, and it was an exciting match to watch. It was tension to the end. A draw was probably the fairest result on the day.

Winning a single point has actually pushed Hua Hin backwards in their quest to get out of the bottom pack, but they are continually pulling themselves away from the relegation zone.

Yes, the shop does have regular opening, but the lady who runs it has been quite ill. If you get there and the doors are locked, go down to the Victor Guest House reception to the right of the shop and about 20 feet away, down the little alley. They will help you.

Remaining 'unannounced' fixtures for this season. Venue for the final fixture will be decided tomorrow i.e. if Assumption win or draw, the fixture will be at Assumption. If Hua Hin win by 2 or more, the fixture will be in Hua Hin.

If Hua Hin win 1 - 0, the final venue will be decided by penalty shoot out. Any other 1 goal margin by Hua Hin will see the fixture going to Assumption, based on away goals rule.

Unannounced fixtures, does that mean that after the home game tomorrow 9th july, next game is not until 30th july, and next home game is 5th august.I do not have a fixture list,if published on facebook, not use,is there a reason for a 3 week window with no soccer?
Appreciate your feedback,thanks.
