On Thursday the 17th of November, a group of cyclists will meet at the Singkhon Border checkpoint. From this spot on the Burma Border we will depart at 11:AM for the 10th annual Odyssey of Endurance as we will cycle completely across Thailand, never stopping for meals or rest. We will also accomplish this amazing feat without the use of performance enhancing drugs. This challenge is usually met by the average bicycle rider in about one hour as the total distance across Thailand at this point on the map is only about 11km as the crow flies. Since we’ll always be on tarmac, the total distance will be about 21km. We will finish the Odyssey of Endurance at the Royal Air Force recreation beach at Ao Manao where there is always a great variety of Thai entrees amongst the many vendors in the food court where one can also find ice cold beer and other unimportant beverages.

Itsa great event and as the start is at a much higher elevation than the finish, there are lots of downhill portions

I often wonder about the above. From Dan Singkorn there is quite an incline before the easy ride starts. I couldn't ride my bike up that incline, which is why I don't play. I agree, the rest of the route will be a doddle.

I would like to ride again this year. I wish to find someone who has a "driver" coming and can bring me back to the start with my bike or bring my car to the finish. I have a 3 bike bike rack and a Toyota Vios Car. So I am willing to drive down with someone and we can share the gas. I am also flexible if the persons want to go the day before for the hash at Ao Manao. Thanks. David Range 089-548-7405
