Hua Hin International Jazz Festival is set to return to Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin, 18 to 19 May, in what promises to be one of the most accomplished series of jazz performances ever hosted in this popular seaside town.

A full programme of concerts features acts from Australia, Austria, Brazil, Sweden, Thailand, UK and USA.

The beach resort, one of the original “Grand Hotels of the East”, has joined forces with event organizer Hitman Jazz and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Hua Hin International Jazz Festival 2018, is billed as part of the TAT’s “Open to The New Shades” campaign.

“We want to build a name for Hua Hin as Thailand’s jazz capital, just like New Orleans in the USA or Montreal in Canada,” said Hitman’s managing director Chirathivat, “Hua Hin is known its breathtaking views, delicious seafood and extraordinary attractions.

“From the rhythm of the waves to the sound of great music, Hua Hin International Jazz Festival offers a heart-warming experience.”

I hope they do something right, as use to be a regular, since the very first one. Think last one I attended was 2010. Used to be 3 or 4 stages, all free, then tried to go up scale. Then either cover charges at hotel or no name acts for free.

This one looks much better than the past, and might pop up for a peak.

Fingers crossed they get back on track, as always looked forward to it.
