Think we can help you with the link: http://www.hua-hin-international-school.com/

Just three questions:
Cost pr child pr year
Any price-reduction if you have 2 children/pupils?
Location?
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

All of the applications have been submitted and we are waiting to sign off with the Ministry of Education Thailand and we cannot give more information with regard to the fees etc until all of this is completed. Sorry to be so vague but will add information as we can.

Good luck with it, Hua Hin is crying out for a decent education facility, if you get it right there will be 300 kids at your door. They're not all mine.
Appreciate you can not give full details yet but is it in the immediate Hua Hin area ?

I sent you an email.

Cheers,

HAllo there HHIS

Will this International School be located on the current site where Stamford now is? I can believe this place will be a great location for an Internaional School like this or will they build a Brand new facility?

Website looks pretty amateur and is lacking essential information such as approximate costs per term and location ... two pretty important factors for parents! At least a notice on current status would put all of the enquiring minds at rest.

A real international school is long overdue in Hua Hin so I hope this has potential and isn't a fly-by-night/one-man-band operation.

Hi Buksida,
The website is lacking essential information at the momment as the Ministry of Education have to approve all areas of the project including fees before we can share them. Sorry we cannot offer you more at this momment it time but we can assure you however that this is a genuine project and we are commited to opening by July next year.

Surely you can give at least some sort of general idea where it will be located? And an approximate idea of fees? If you can't then it doesn't say much about either the planning or the organisation of this project, and it is also a pretty pointless post if you can't give any information. Just a tip - if you are planning a new venture, make sure you can answer the questions potential customers have, otherwise they will lose all faith in your business immediately. Your website is not worth visiting as it does not give the information parents want, which is location, background/history and cost. :guns:

I agree with everthing Wanderlust has said, the questions he has asked are indeed very important, to any potential parents who may be thinking of using your facility.

Hi there HHIS

May I re itterate my Question to you ance again.
Woll you r new school be located on the premise/Campus of the soon to be closed down Stamfrod Univ. University Hua Hin? What are the the annual Tution cost will be?

In my Opinion if you are using the premise of Stamford proper you are saving the cost of the construction and you will achieve the Goal of opening your school next year as well.

Yours the understudy!!!

Having been in the educational "business" here in Hua Hin, as I observed in another thread, I know that there is a crying need for an International School here. I am most familiar with the high school end of it, ( and I doubt we have the numbers to make a high school level operation viable) but of course all Hua Hin parents have to be concerned with getting a decent education for their children. There is certainly a place for a really excellent local school!

However, I checked out the website too and it is vague. It is kind of a mix of plans along with the impression that it actually exists already. .which I found unusual and somewhat disturbing. ( Who ARE the kids in the pictures and where are they romping?)

This is Thailand after all, and I would not be getting my kids ready for a year from now on the basis of a dream. . .however admirable that dream might be. They also seem to be overselling the "British" curriculum thing. "the National Curriculum of England and Wales" .is this a franchised deal, a government initiative, a textbook mill, British culture for export, just the way all schools are run in England or what? Please explain what this is for those of us who have not dealt with British schools.

HHIS is going to run into a lot of the same problems faced by other schools here from getting the place built on schedule to balancing the number of farang teachers with the requisite number of Thai workers to turning a profit within a decade or so.

As for Understudy’s question about using the Stamford campus. . . first of all HHIS and company (? )would have to have bought the property outright. .and I doubt that they (anyone) could afford it or that the owner would sell. If this happens to be the case . .that it will be at the Stamford site. . .and the owner IS in any way involved, I really, sincerely pity HHIS because the place will quickly be overrun with the owner’s cronies and the owner will call the shots.

I think it emphasizes the "British Curriculum" part as it is a well known fact around the world that the British Education System is, by FAR ,more superior than anywhere else.

That said this new 'dream' could amount to as much as a fart in the wind.
If it's within arms reach, there's nothing to worry about!!
