Parking in Hua Hin Centre

Post by Barcelonared »

Hi Guys
First time poster on the forum. We are annual visitors to HH for a couple of months a year. We always hire a car for the duration. In past years I have always found it convenient to park in the temple car park at the clock tower. However this year have been turned away on numerous occasions due to funeral, or as tonight Wednesday it was all taped off. Any ideas of easy parking centrally, we found some parking at the Sirin hotel but they are charging 50baht an hour as opposed to 20baht per day at the temple.
Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I suspect anyone who does know will keep that information to himself. That area needs a new, large car park.

Yes there are 2 'waste land' car parks, both free. Not as convenient as the temple, but only a couple of minutes walk.

Car Park 1 - go South past the temple and straight through the Tessebahn traffic lights. A few hundred yards on the right between Soi 78 and 80 is a large piece of waste ground. Always space there.

Car Park 2 - turn up Soi 70 (other traffic lights). Just before the crazy railway crossing you will see a right turn (bakery on the corner). Continue on that small soi, and you will find the other waste land car park. A lot busier, but only once in 4 years have I not been able to find a space.

There's also a small free car park park behind the Tessebahn (turn up Soi 78), but you have to be very lucky to find a space there.

Yes it does close overnight. Closing time seems to vary.

Temple parking is now closed until after New Year
