According to the chart, the limit in Thailand is lower than England and the same as Scotland at 50mg - pity it isn’t enforced as strictly.

Re: New Year's Vehicle Accidents - 2018
I'll make this a little clearer. The limit in Thailand at which you will be considered a drunk driver is 50micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. And yes you blow into the machine, one long slow breath. The level falls to 20 if the driver is without licence or already banned. The level in England ,Wales and Northern Ireland is 35 and the health zealots in Scotland have convinced the government that the level should be 22.
I hope this resolves any confusion.

The chart for yesterday is missing from the article at the moment. If it appears, I'll post it later. Pete

Re: New Year's Vehicle Accidents - 2018
I read a local report on the seasonal road-accident statistics for this area, & I'm sure the breakdown of nationalities included 1 British person..But as yet have not read any reported accident/fatality on any English-speaking sites..?
Re: New Year's Vehicle Accidents - 2018
The stats are being compared with last year (2016) Interesting to note that the previous year the total deaths for the 7 days is 341. This year we're at 375 dead with one more day to go. Doesn't seem there's anything to crow about.

Re: New Year's Vehicle Accidents - 2018
I think that I have read previously the death figures are only the 'Dead at site" deaths and that the injuries , which are 10 times the death figures will result in some later deaths in hospital.
Re: New Year's Vehicle Accidents - 2018
If you look at the daily charts, they are being adjusted to account for this e.g. I think Dec 28 started as 41, it is now 49.
Championship Stoke City 3 - 0 Plymouth Argyle
Points 48; Position 20
Points 48; Position 20

Re: New Year's Vehicle Accidents - 2018
So looking at the chart..this years accident figures are same as last year, death-rate is only slightly down on last year, and the injury figure is only slightly lower than last year..
...Yet again the proven formula of MiBs sat in a roadside tent over the holiday period has done wonders to reduce
the annual statistics..
(But praise goes out to the various 'rescue' foundations that has had to deal with the numerous accidents)..

Re: New Year's Vehicle Accidents - 2018
How do these stats compare with other Asian and western countries, anybody searched that?
Re: New Year's Vehicle Accidents - 2018
The government's stated figures agree with 423 deaths but claim it's 11% down on last year!
