Playing Banyan in September

Post by golfhelp »

I do not think you will be able to play Banyan as the last I heard was that it might open in November, beginning of. They have allowed a few selected parties to play and so, if there is by chance a group going I will post the information~sorry cannot do better.

Kaeng Krachan is about 50 mins from Hua Hin. It has 27 holes with the latest nine designed by Nicklaus. This is probably the best nine in the area.
If you play 18 holes to include the new Nicklaus nine the green fee cost is Bht800 plus Bht200 for caddy. If you play the original 18 holes the green fee is Bht500 at present

Paddy and Mick decide to have a game on Sunday..so they both tee off.....when they get to the balls they can see they are side by side.." I played a Dunlop " said Paddy....."Would you believe it said Mick." I played a Dunlop too "....

"Well mine was a no 3 " said Paddy......and Mick says "Bejasus mine is a no 3 too "...

So they stand there for 5 minutes trying to figure out what to do and Mick says.."I've got it..................you play the white one...and I'll play the yellow one........"

The old ones are the best ...........!

B..J.. you asked a golf question, for which you received balanced replies do you have to turn the thread into a 'jokes' forum as I am sure we all receive enough via spam?

Sorry to have offended you with a joke about GOLF but you do need a sense of humour to play this game .......

Hi guys,

Played over at Pattaya last week-end.

Bangpra on Friday - Course is the second oldest in Thailand and in really great condition. Really enjoyed playing an interesting mature parkland type course. A really good test of Golf. Club house has just been refurbished to a high standard and service and food was excellent. All this for a standard week day green fee of B900. Well worth a visit if you are over that way. Takes about an hour to drive from the Airport.

Rayong Green Valley on Sunday - Again course in good condition. A good interesting layout , fast greens with slopes so important to put the ball in the right place on the green. Club house and food service both really good. Played with an member, guest rate B1400 inc caddy week-end so again good value for money. Took about 40 mins to get to the course from Jomtien Beach.

Bangpra

I used to live in Pattaya for my sins, but was interested to see that at last someone else sings the praises of one of the best layouts around--Bangpra. Real glad to hear its in good shape, terrific course

Played Siam Plantation in June - the first 9 we played (cant remember the name) was one of the nicest 9s i have played - lovely condition and it all flowed beautifully, 2nd 9 was very different - younger and not as well designed. Clubhouse is a stunning piece of architecture. Well worth a visit.

The golf course gems in the Pattaya area are probably :- Laem Chabang, Khao Kheow and Siam Country Club ( original course - can't remember name.

If you play any of these you will not be disappointed and IMO exceed anything in Hua Hin
