Hope "The twighlight promotion" to be extended till end of Oct....

Anyway...AT Sea pine....can 2 people share the cart or only 1 per cart?

Both Sea Pines and Palm Hills only 1 person per cart.

Please excuse my ignorance as a complete golfing ignoramus, but this is another of golf's mysteries that I often wonder about when reading these golf threads.

Is the one person per cart something to do with load bearing, or is it a money making exercise by golf clubs? Not meant to offend, just trying to answer my own curiosity.

Thank you. I did suspect that, but thought I might have been mis-judging them.

Good morning...fellow golfers...

I'm heading to HH...on Sep...(arrive there at night on Sep 5th),,,
Planning to play 3 days (from 6 to 8)...my party is 2 or 3...

9.6 Friday : Majestic creek...and maybe Sea pine(back 9, 10~18 first) after 2:30pm ...
9.7 Sat : Imperial lakeview or Springfield....possible both...(very near)...
9.8 Sun : Black Mountain...and go ack to bkk,,,

My concerns are...

1) Is Majestic worth to play? how is their green condition??

2) on sunday...if you play only 18 holes...which is better, Imperial or Springfield??

3) I had already played Banyan, BM, and sea pine on Aug 2013....at that time Banyan was so so,,,
That's why I excluded banyan this time....My party are first time in HH(except me)...Do I have to include Banyan as well???

IF you play only 3 days in Sep...What will be your choice??
(On Sat and Sun, we can play more than 18 holes...maybe 27 or 36 holes...)

Thanks ...

The question regarding why some courses only allow 1 golfer per cart, has 2 answers. For some courses it is just trying to make more money, but for others it is necessary. If you lease your carts from one of the cart leasing companies, then they only allow 2 people on a cart at any time. In Thailand, 2 golfers and 2 caddies means 4 people. These carts are not designed to have 2 people stand on the back and they will not last as long. Of course it is not as safe, but never a consideration in Thailand. Springfield allow 2 golfers to share because they own their carts. Banyan certainly used to lease and this was the reason why could not share. Black Mountain own their carts but dont allow you to share.

Really? What's the point of having a caddy if you're riding in a cart? :?

Yes, "LaughTillIDie" it is a good question. You have obviously never golfed in Thailand. Caddies are compulsory for every golfer, even if you decide to take a cart. All the more reason to not use a cart and especially when they make you take 1 cart per golfer. Carts are a great money maker for golf clubs though.

I sometimes wonder if sharing a cart is that much quicker unless both players hit fairly similar shots. The norm seems to have one player looking for his ball on one side of the fairway and on the other side his companion doing the same for his.

agreed, but if the cart can't go inside of the fairway...sharing a cart for two people seems no problem...IMO... :thumb:

Played Majestic yesterday for the first time since September, very pleasantly surprised. Decent condition, good caddies and a huge improvement in the last time i played it!
Staff in clubhouse were fun and efficient, had a chicken salad bagutte before we played.. lovely and food after which was also spot on.

Good job by the staff up there, shall be doin the Sunday morning game again there very soon.
