Re- Golf Club hire
During my last trip at Christmas, I hired clubs from the small golf shop near the old in door shopping mall, Cost was 400 baht per day.
The best way is to find someone with an extra set of clubs that will let you rent for two months. It would be a lot cheaper than renting each time you go play golf and you won't have to play different clubs each time. If you go to Berny's Bar or Billy's bar and ask around I am sure you can find someone with an extra set collecting dust.

Depening how much U R playing, it might be wise to buy a used, or cheap set in BKK or in one of the shops.
seeing you are not Tiger Woods, it probaly does not matter so much what set you use as long as it is not to hard to hit.
on the other hand, many carriers offer to Take your clubs for Free as long as you do report it up frnt (AUA, Emirates, other as well).
If you go 2 Months and play 3 times per week, that is about 10.000 Baht ( ~200€) You can buy a (used) beginners set for that .
