Its that time again, green fees up on previous years but still probably cheaper than usual.

Think the green fees are actually the same. The tournament fees may have increased though. Looking forward to playing these courses again any time of day, may the festival long continue.

So how does 2,400 baht for Black Mountain and Banyan fit into the advertised rate of 1,000 - 1,800 baht.
Unless I've missed something I don't see any rate less than 1,600baht!
Probably another case of TIT.

As said by JG, it would appear that the higher rates are for a tournament that runs over one round at each of the participating courses over the two months. There are specific dates against those rounds. I've never played in it but maybe there's food included or prizes or both?
The 1,000 - 1,800 are the green fees for rounds at any other time during Aug/Sept.
It's not very clear though.

Yes the Sunday tournament includes food, drink and prizes.

Banyan / Black Mountain 1800 baht through Aug/Sept and the rest 1000 baht (caddy fee and caddy tip on top of these prices)

A very poor advert IMHO, and the reason I didn't post it a few weeks ago. Advertise a cheap golf period, yet the headline prices quoted don't reflect 'cheap'.

Actually, in comparison to the normal walk in rates for a round at any of the courses, either price is "cheap". (If that's what you were getting at, BB).

No, I imagine it is cheap, but to start with a statement of "Fixed Green Fees 1000 - 1800 Baht" and then immediately show a menu with prices between 1600 and 2400 Baht with no explanation can only be considered as confusing.

I saw the advert ages ago, and yes, I was given an explanation of the differences, but I thought it too confusing to post. I assumed an easier to understand poster would happen, but it didn't.

Not meant in derogatory way, but to a golf ignoramus like me it does not make sense.

OK, fair enough. Even for me, a diehard hacker, it's confusing to say the least.
