The A/pt bus seems to make a regular 'coffee-stop' just after curling round & meeting the BKK-bound highway after Cha-Am.. in a way I feel these guys are in no hurry to get there when every other person on-board is anxious to get to the A/pt on time... T.I.T.

I've been on it several times and it's never stopped for coffee. I guess it depends on what staff is on any given bus? Or maybe they only stop if they believe they are ahead of schedule?

I agree that any unnecessary stops on an airport service is pretty bad form.

I have used it for three return journeys now. Very comfortable. Staff flexible at BKK when i arrived early, they put me on the earlier bus. Safer than many of the taxi/limo services. Overall great value and a pleasure. No stops other than cha-am and hh

Am arriving in September, will I need to book or are there seats available usually. Flight is scheduled to arrive at 1450 hrs and was wondering if that was sufficient time to get the 1630hrs bus.

that should be plenty of time,i use it quite often just to go to and fro from bangkok,i find it a lot more comfortable(i catch train from airport to the city)
If i'm worried about missing the bus,i will book the later bus and if i turn up early and the bus is not full i can change my ticket for a 30bht fee.

I would highly recommend making (and prepaying) an online advance reservation. One time when I made the booking the night before I traveled, there were five or six seats showing available to reserve, but the next day when I was on the bus, it departed full.

I believe I read that if your flight is late, they will honor your prepaid ticket on the next bus with available seats.

Regarding the comment above about making a coffee stop on the way to the airport, the only time the bus has made a stop when I've used it was to pick up passengers in Cha'am. That is a scheduled pick-up point, but of course, if there are no people booked to be picked up in Cha'am, the bus won't stop. Maybe the driver takes the opportunity to buy coffee then, as well? <shrug>

11. What if my flight delays and I miss my coach, can I take the next one?
Yes, you can but you must prove to us that your flight delays and lands within 30 minutes prior to booked coach departure time. It also depends on seats availability. We recommend you to book the coach that has at least 1 hour from your estimate time arrival (ETA).

I've done a return trip on it and not had a stop. (I prefer a stop)

Friends and family have used it multiple times and never stopped.

Good service though.

Just used the airport bus service again with no stops and once again it was good service and decent driving. Doing this regularly, I have only had one bad trip and that was the fault of a drunk passenger rather than the service. As always, I can recommend the service and hope it continues..

What was amusing this trip is the new stickers on the bulkhead ahead of the first row. I wonder how much this has been a problem in the past?????

While private transfers might sound attractive, I have had problems on my last couple of trips to Hua Hin.

On one occasion, I actually missed my flight at swampy because the driver was late in picking us up, and then he had to stop for fuel twice. On another, the driver missed a turning and we ended up smack in the centre of Bangkok during rush hour on a Friday night! It was hell!

So next trip, am definitely doing to try this bus. Can anyone say if there is a limit on the luggage you are allowed?

Cheers

Can anyone say if there is a limit on the luggage you are allowed?
The website says this:

"Each customer is allowed to have 1 normal sized check-in luggage and 1 carry-on. Extra 1-2 luggage is allowed with additional fee of THB 20/piece except for television or any large item that will be THB 200/piece.
Our booking system only allows each passenger to have 3 maximum check-in luggage. If you choose more than 3, our system will not accept you. Then please contact our staff in advance and we will reply you as soon as possible whether we can take care of your extra luggage."

And from personal experience of the several times I've used this bus, there has been plenty of luggage space available for any reasonable amount of extra luggage as it's a full size bus with only 28 odd seats on it, it's rarely full and obviously some people don't have a large amount of luggage.

Just something I noticed.

I've passed this bus several times now on my trips to and from BKK and I've noticed that it never seems to be exceeding 90 -100 kph.

Comforting to know when compared with the Kami Kaze mini buses etc............ 8)
