HH/Cha-am to Don Muang

A friend is flying to Phnom Phen from Don Muang tomorrow afternoon.
What's the best/safest/quickest way to get there from Hua Hin (or preferably Cha am)?

At the moment, we're working on the basis of the bus to Swampy then a taxi.

EDIT: Well we were - buses are fully booked...

There is a direct bus, but only runs twice a day. Not as good as the other airport bus, but good anyway.

Alternatively, we've caught the other airport bus and transferred by taxi - not expensive.

There's also the direct minibus from HH (near the night market) to DM. I'm sure you can also arrange to get on at Cha-am.
