CHAING MAI HELP?

Post by Randy Cornhole »

I was looking for property in Hua Hin but the prices are getting too high!
I'm not paying 2/3 million bht for an average house stuck on a postage stamp within a hot housing estate.
So have decided to check out Chaing Mai. Has anyone any info of areas to buy or to avoid?
I am going to stay for a week and check out the estate agents, can anyone recommend a good hotel near the city center around the 2000bht a night.
Many thanks in advance :thumb:

Can't help re decent residential areas Randy but I would recommend the Royal Lanna hotel - it's right in the centre of town, next to the night bazaar.

1300bt will get you a really nice big room with spectacular views over the city and the mountains beyond - the sunsets are amazing.

Check out this photo I took from my room.

The room is great and the hotel staff are really friendly - I stayed in a couple of places up there and this was the best value for money by a mile.

You can book online.

OK, fill me in on the home prices you found in Chiang Mai.
