^ I assume you don't actually have to be staying in the Dusit to take advantage of this?

If this is the case, what are the limits/restrictions on luggage - can anyone advise.

Thanks.

A handy option, but if there are 3 of you it would be cheaper to get a taxi.

Providing you haven't got a lot of luggage - many taxis have been converted to run on LPG so the boot space is rather restricted.

No, it's for residents or non-residents.
Complimentary pick-up before departure or drop off on arrival in the Cha-am/Hua Hin area included in the price.
Should add there are reclining seats, drinking water and reading material on board... and responsible drivers whose jobs depend on it.
A 'reasonable' amount of luggage allowed per person. As much as one might take for a fortnight's holiday, for example.
Hope that helps.

A reasonable option from Pattaya to here. Leave Pattaya at mid or late afternoon, arrive 4h 45m later. Can't see taking it from to HH to Pattaya. Depart around midnight, arrive early morning, that's no fun. Pickup in HH is 10 hours after leaving Koh Samui so who knows how late the bus will be. I don't ride night buses because I expect I will have as hard a time falling sleep as the driver does staying awake.

If it makes it easier, I would add that we are also booking agents for the Dusit Sprinter.
You can book or get information by phoning us, through our website or on this forum.

I like the look of this and will use it in future for my trips to Bangkok. I know I get there far cheaper by train but cannot rely on it being on time.

Hua Hin to Pattay by bus

Post by kryzhovnik »

Hello!
I need to go to Pattaya tomorrow (on 31 dec). Read on this forum about two options - minibus and yellow bus service. But I have questions:

Minibus
  • can't find timetable
  • where is pick-up location?
  • where I can buy a ticket?
Yellow bus service. Same questions, except I found timetable on their site
  • where is pick-up location?
  • where can I buy a ticket?

The mini bus to Pattaya goes at least 4 times daily.
It can be found on the left hand side of Sra Song Rd, just before the traffic lights going in a southern direction. The office has a green roof.
I suggest you visit them because you need to purchase your ticket at their office - cost 400BHT single.

Once went in one of those minibuses and will never do it again! Crammed in with no legroom and a maniac driving! It is no wonder there are so many terrible accidents. The best way, by far, to get to Bangkok or Pattaya from Hua Hin is to use the airport bus. Lovely comfortable buses. Lots of legroom and driven very sensibly. From the airport there are hourly buses on to Pattaya. If you want to go into Bangkok then you just take the rail link which only takes about 30 mins max. The buses leave from opposite the Intercontinental Hotel and the web site is www.airporthuahinbus.com.
It is 305 baht to the airport and I think 134 baht from airport to Pattaya. I have booked tickets online before.

Just looking at options to go to Pattaya tomorrow from Hua Hin (although I'm staying in Cha-am). Prefer to leave not too late in the morning if I can.

I gather the two options are the Yellow Buses but the times for these are 11:30pm, 12:30am and 2:35am, or coach an Airport Bus to Bangkok, then another bus to Pattaya.

This may be a better option for me in terms of what time of the day I can travel?

I don't want to use mini buses.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Cheers
