Entering credit card details via a website is always risky, this is why I only use Paypal for online payments - quick, easy and safe.

Didnt have an issue with payment or communication when getting my Viet visa and really am baffled as to why you run into so many problems.

PayPal - that would be lovely :cuss: Despite all the advice I've received on this forum, the bank still says NO - it can't be done - TIT.

Anyway, an update on my dilemma. I've phoned the bank's call centre in the UK and they have confirmed the transaction has gone through, and nothing looks suspicious. Maybe Vietnamese e-mail response is similar to Thailand. All being well, I should receive my visa e-mail by Friday (regularly checking my online banking as I go.

If it "cant be done" how comes I have it, linked to a Thai bank, no problemo?

Vietnamese email response is light years ahead of Thailand!

I know you have PayPal, and I know several others. I've tried to get my card upgraded (not sure if that's the right term), but bank are insisting it can't be done - same bank as you I think :?

Still no response to e-mails, but I have contacted the company and they have confirmed that I should receive the visa e-mail by Saturday.

Slightly off topic but still relevant. Moderators may wish to move this to another thread.
BB mentioned that he had made "several transactions". Just a note for anyone who has a second card for the wife on the account and goes to BK shopping.
My bank (HSBC) security has a policy of "3 strikes in one day and your out", you then have to phone them to take the "marker" off the card.
Can be quite expensive as the call has to be redirected between departments. However I now understand this can be "called collect". I am just about to call Canada "collect" to try and re-establish a link with our UK account. If anybody is interested will post results.
