Thailand's Moken Sea Nomads

Post by hhfarang »

Interesting slideshow about these people that I never heard of before:

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

An interesting story, and sadly with parallels in other parts pf the world.

What I did not know is that Thailand is destroying its own fishing culture and industry by over- fishing. Sad that the Thai Government does not take control.

Coming from a nation where the conflict between oil and fishing, short term gain and long term prevalence is part of the political debate, I am saddened if this is not on the agenda of Thai politics. Perhaps it is, and I do not know.
One Day I'm gona die. I can live with that.
