Noticed Bangkokney and a few others seem to be frequent visitors. Check out below web site associated with the FLB (Freelancer Bar) for special rate at Residence Garden...Baht 1,350 for a suite and they are good suites. The owner runs a good establishment, food very reasonable and good and staff the best. I'm not associated with them in any way, just passing along a good tip if you shoud visit. Pete

Good info there Pete,

I have a good friend that swears by the Residence Garden ...

I happen to have a condo in Jomtien now but have been visiting here since 1989.

A few faves :

New AA hotel and the new new Dynasty are good calls in the 700 baht a night bracket.

I first used the Diana Inn then the old AA but they are not value for money at 600/700 a night as they are somewhat run down theses days.

Most recently the Eastiny Inn Soi 8 and the Boathouse over in Jomtien. at 900 a night are great places to stay.

The Apex gets good reviews as well form mates who stay there.

I used the Penthouse (naughty naughty) a couple of times with bad experiences although many have had GREAT times there. (smiley winky thing)

Went to a party at the Hard Rock hotel (a mate hired the whole hotel for a weekend bash) that was awesome but at nearly 3,500 plus baht a night I would consider that out of my budget under normal circumstances.
