Samui Songkran

Post by buksida »

I guess none of the other Hua Hin regulars travel as I'm the only one thats posted in this category :?

Anyway, went down to Koh Samui friday night for songkran. Govt busses were full so we took the bullshit tourist route; a 'v.i.p.' bus to Surat, 3 hour wait then 3 hour 'express' boat journey for 600Bt.
On the island for around midday, very quiet farang wise, I guess they're all scared of SARS. Songkran was only one mad day on the 13th where I got so hammered that recollection of the days festivities is still blurry.
Next two days spent relaxing on Lamai beach. Back again via 'bullshit tourist bus' as the bor.kor.sor. was fully booked by the sensible Thai's that know how to travel. All in all a good short break away from HH.
How was it here?
