Today is the day
Well today is the day I change my little profile saying. Goodbye California........Hello Thailand

Re: Today is the day
Welcome to HH. I remember the feelings of trepidation and excitement like they were yesterday. Try to keep those feelings along with the huge changes that you will experience.

I remember that feeling 13 years ago, my life has been the best it has ever been since that day. I hope you feel the same way in years to come. I know you have talked about this day for a while now, congratulations on reaching your goal.

Thanks all! Been planning for a while, some delays, but now it's here!

Re: Today is the day
I've been here almost 14 years and if I remember it correctly, there were no feelings of in-trepidation, just feelings of euphoria! Although HH has changed drastically since I arrived, I have zero feelings of regret.
I'm sure you will feel the same way after you've settled in, Migrant.
Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life.

Congrats to you Migrant - it was 8 years 'part time' and now 15 + since my permanent move - only one regret - I should have done it sooner. Good Luck

Good luck Migrant!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

All the best Migrant, wish you well.
Unfortunately, I'm well away from retirement and returning to the UK after 14 odd years in China, would certainly not be looking for a permanent move to Thailand or Asia..... That said, I'm still bl**dy jealous of those in HH!!
Truly hope you settle in and enjoy life!!
