Sometimes I really don't know what goes through the minds of the people that run this country. We have returned from Krabi where we were caught up in the tsunami, no damage done apart from a wet passport of my friend.
We are on annual non-immigrant visas which now require the 90 day "check in" with immigration. The slip he had got soaked and was a couple of days over when we returned to Hua Hin. On enquiry to immigration in Bangkok he was told that its a 2,000 baht fine tsunami or no tsunami. He now needs to take a day off work and travel to Bangkok to pay the fine for his damaged, 3 day over 90 day check in slip.
This kind of stuff really makes me mad
