PrachuapKhiriKhan - moving

Post by maxcherry »

I am moving here in the next couple of months. Anyone know what the chances are of securing a teaching position here - WITH A WP.
I have a degree and TEFL certification. The big thing I am worried about is the WP. I do not want to work illegally.

Cheers

Hello,
I'm not a teacher, but have looked into it.
Jobs do become available in HH and the province. Salaries will not be as high as BKK, but then again, living costs are cheaper.
I heard last year that work permits were not being issued to teachers who didn't have a recognised teaching qualification. Don't know to what extent that's being enforced
The better schools will assist you with your WP. Do press them on this point. If the school's not too good, they'll put you off. Ask that the school pays for the visa and WP as well. You don't want to be deported.
