I managed to do it, but it had to be done on a Windoze machine running Explorer. I tried using Explorer on a Mac running under WINE. No go. I tried spoofing the user agent using Safari on a Mac. No go. The problem seems to be in the way their code verifies the Captcha and other data. I think it does it keystroke by keystroke. So, only on Explorer on a real Win box.

After you submit, you can use any browser on which you can spoof the user agent in order to check the status and print the receipt.

My 90 day report was due on 21st as I returned from a trip to Bali on 23rd June. So late last week I thought I would give online report another try. I had to use IE rather than Firefox but submitted the form and received a 'Pending' status.

I didn't realise until today that you can check your status online using the reference number from your pending application. So checked today thinking I would have to go to imm tomorrow but my form is now stamped 'Approved' and available for print. Also available for print is your next appointment which is basically the same piece of paper imm stick in your passport when you do it in person, 9/12/15 for me. :thumb:

Just tried again for a friend, tried with IE 8, IE 10 and Firefox - same stupid error message after the form is filled in; "please contact immigration branch in your area".

Well, I did it and it worked fine for me. Windoze machine with IE 10.

Bucksida, one of the causes of the error message you cite is that the applicant has had no recent entries into Thailand. You have to have an actual entry within the last two or three years in order for you to be in the part of the system used by the Online 90 Day Report software. Even if you've made 90 day reports which Immigration entered into their "system", that doesn't work for the online report. It has to be an actual entry.

I believe the online reporting system needs to match the computerized TM6 data that is on file. If you entered before they computerized the TM6, then online reporting won't work. I don't know what the cutoff date is.

One further note: Although you need to do the initial filing using Windows Internet Explorer, you can check your status and print the receipt from, I think, any browser. I was able to do those two things using Chrome on a Mac.

I have used the link to immigration and it looks a minefield to a non It Specialist !!

Could somebody be kind enough to go through it stage by stage as I am sure very many others will be appreciative.

I could not get through the Translation page !!

I'm not sure what you mean by "Translation page".

The first thing you see is the page where you accept the terms and conditions.

After that you see a page which is just a menu. The first menu item is to fill out the online 90 day report.

If you select that you see the online form that you fill out. It's straightforward and has mostly the same information as the paper report.

However, it's very slow going because they seem to check every keystroke as you type. It's horrible software and makes me wonder why some Thai agencies (Revenue, Social Security, Thailand Post, Thai Met) can have very decent web sites while Immigration is so awful.

Oh, well.

Immigration appear to have only tested their software with IE.

They're probably scared to formally test it with F/fox, Chrome etc. because the programmer will "lose face" when told officially that it's a pile of c**p!

I did my 90 day online report yesterday without any hitches at all. Simple and straightforward. Did the online TM47 using IE and then checked my status and a couple of hours later my receipt using Google Chrome.
