I would guess from Aranya Pratet and into Poi Pet.
EDIT You may well need a visa to enter Cambodia.

Yep - you'll need a visa for Cambodia regardless how quick your visit. HOWEVER, for UK citizens at least, it's a visa on arrival. Last time I visited, it was a payment of US$30 and valid for 1 month - you'll also need 2 passport photos.

I'm sure it's pretty much standard requirements, but best check.

I did it there about 4 years ago and you needed to get a Cambodian visa from the Thai side before crossing over, even if you were only going to walk in a circle and come back to Thailand immediately. I've read that some program is being talked about where a Thai visa is good for Cambodia, and Cambodian for Thailand. Laos was included as well. Don't know if anything has come of that yet. Pete

^ Thinking about it after Pete's comments, I flew into Phnom Penh - the rules maybe different when simply crossing the border from Thailand(?).

Ultimately, you need to check with the embassy - don't take our word for it!!

If you visit candypublications web site, you can see all the possible places to cross the border and whether Cambo visas are available at the border.
Cambodian visas and Thai transit visas are available at all Thai/Cambodian border crossings. Thai transit visas are free of charge. Other types of Thai visas are not available. Cambodia visas are available at some border crossing with Vietnam, including the Prek Chak crossing. Vietnam visas are not available at any international border crossing.
The following points might be useful for you:

1. Aranyaprathet, Thailand/Poipet , Cambodia
Cambodian visas and Thai transit visas available on arrival at the border. Cambodian E-Visa accepted at this crossing.

Open 08:00-20:00

2. Chong Jom, Thailand/O'Smach, Cambodia
Cambodian visas available. Thai transit visas available.
Remote border crossing north of Siem Reap in Oddar Meanchey province. From Siem Reap travel to Kralahn, then north to Samrong and then on to the border. Guesthouses available in Samrong.

3. Chong Sa Ngam, Thailand/Anlong Veng, Cambodia
Cambodian visas available. Thai transit visas available.
Remote border crossing northwest of Siem Reap in Oddar Meanchey province, opposite Thailand's Si Saket province.

I did the first one myself several times and I know people who've done the other two. They are mostly people who stay in Buriram area for longer periods of time.

I've been to Cambodia a couple of times in the last few months - flying to Phnom Penh and by road via Trat/Koh Kong.
In both cases, visa on entry required (valid for 1 month) - cost US$30 (+ 1 passport photo, extra $5 without a photo) - avoid touts who want to "help". That pushes up the price.

Number 2 on that list Chong Chom you would need to get the bus to Surin. Ride a mini van to Kap Choeng immigration office that has now reopened and down to Chong Chom another ten minuets down the road. You can walk around in a circle if you wish or pop into the casino that's situated between the two sets of gates in no mans land.

ust an update on my E-visa application.
Send it to the official web side monday : https://www.evisa.gov.kh/ there is some private website to but they looks more exspensive, and got a mail today at 09.20 with the aproval off my application.
Its really simpel actully, maybe finding a photo and rezice it can be a problem, but I could with the help from that page someone has suggested, and I just took a photo from my passbook with my camera.

The price is 40 $ wich you pay online and then you must make 2 copies off the aproval 1 for entry and 1 for leaving Cambodia.
So now I should be ready to go without to much hazle at the border :D

Thanks again to all who help me,I allways feel a little worried when I need to do these trips concerning my visa as we all know the rules, and the moode from some immigration officer can change when you drive up to the border :cuss:

Just thought how nice it could be if Thailand had a e-visa system to,I know theres a lot more tourist comming to Thailand, but it should be possible with more staff and you could sack some of these ( at least in DK idi.ts ) people who works in the Thai embassy around the world. You're pasport would also last longer when the Thai embassy don't ocopie a full page every time you need a tourist visa,I must get me a new passport next time I come here, even that the old one first run out in october 2018 :(
Well TIT so maybe in the next millinium, something could happen :banghead:
Stay cool, take care and I will report back when I'm back from Cambodia with my exsperience with the e-visa.
