ID card for Permanent Residents

Post by hhinner »

I don't recall seeing that there is a large number of permanent residents habituating the Hua Hin forum, but just in case there are the odd one or two, they may like to know that Hua Hin tesabaan now knows how to issue these ID cards. I have no idea how useful they are over and above a driving licence, but they are issued by the Interior Ministry and should be acceptable as ID for most cases. You need to take your passport, blue tabien baan, alien book and PR book.

Just to avoid any confusion, "Permanent Resident" does not refer to those living in Thailand permanently by having a renewable visa or extension (such as marriage or retirement extension).
