Swift code (Kasikorn Bank) - transferring funds

Post by ianfrussell »

Hi there
Just wondering if anyone might know the Swift code of Kasikornbank Market Village Branch. Possibly it's the same as the Head Office but would like to confirm that first.
Many thanks

The general one is KASITHBK. Not sure each branch has a different swift code.

Very few of the Thai banks have alternate/contingency or branch/office/dept swift codes. However, Kasikorn bucks the trend by having quite a large number of location & dept. codes.

KASITHBK is probably the code you want - if it's general banking.

The foreign exchange & remittance dept. is KASITHBKOMT but that is for business users.

They have extended codes for ChiangMai, Hat Yai, Pathumthani and LaemChabang but no specific extended code for HuaHin/Prachuab.

I think your account number and name will ensure it gets to your account and I have done this a few times and the Swift address shown above in post 2 looks familiar. I do remember getting a piece of paper from customer services at Petkasem Road branch with their dedicated Swift details annotated, I would think Market Village will offer the same so suggest going to the branch and asking for that info directly or calling them.

I don't do online but presume that info may be available on their website. A visit if not

That is correct, as posted several times.
The branch number is the first part of your account number, which you also have to provide.
