Has anyone recently as a married couple retired to Thailand using O A Longstay visa issued by UK Thai embassy with the wife issued an Non immigrant O visa. If so what happened when you arrived in Thailand regarding the wife's Non O visa. Did you go to immigration and extend to match OA visa date, or was a year extension given when you collected your O visa in UK.
I have searched high and low for this answer. U.K. Thai embassy have an art of not answering the phone or responding to emails. On their website it states that spouse gets non immigrant O if applicant qualifies for the OA Longstay but doesn't say how long the O lasts. The OA is issued for a year as multi entry.
Please only replies regarding the above and who have experience within last two years. Many thanks.
