What new border are you talking about?
Your easiest, safest and probably cheapest, would be to take the overnight bus from Hua-Hin to Ranong. You can then do the run via the fishing pier, or via the Andaman Club. If you enter directly back into Thailand without wasting too much time on the other side, you can be back in Hua-Hin at around 10pm.
The overnight bus down to Ranong is usually quite empty so you should also be able to stretch out and sleep for most or all of the journey.

If you already have a lot of stamps in your passport you could be refused at Ranong or even get stuck in Myanmar.
Re: Visa run only need stamp
It all depends on your visa status. If you are here on a multi-O for example, you are required to leave every 90 days, and you won't get hassled at all due to the multiple stamps.
Also, I might be wrong, but I think the whole 3 "out and in" limit for visa exempt stamp holders has slowly but surely vanished, although I could be wrong.

Until December 31st 2016, when the whole situation seems to be changing again and those using land border crossings for 30 day visa exempt stamps will only be able to do so twice a year.
Until then, there is no law regarding the number of times a 30 day crossing may be made, but many border posts do start asking questions after at least 6 of them.

why not just go by yourself? catch a van to kanchanaburi and then another to the myanmar border
pay B950 on the myanmar side of the border, get taken across in a pickup and buy 200 baht carton and a 60 baht myanmar whiskey while you wait for your stamp, then come back the same way
don't understand the need for 'organised visa trips' at all

why would you do that
I took the trip to kanchanaburi/myanmar this week. left at 7:30am, back at 7:30pm
Re: Visa run only need stamp
They don't do visa exempt stamps at the Kanchanaburi crossing. One needs an existing valid visa in order to go out (and in).
Without a visa, the closest crossing is at Ranong.

Sid, dear fellow, when I was having to do 90 day out and ins, I could have could have done the Hua-Hin o Ranong run in more or less the same amount of time. However, rather than seeing the whole thing as being a pain in the butt, and trying to do it as quickly as possible, I used to see it more as a nice little getaway.
A few large Chang in the evening before boarding the bus, then a nice uninterrupted sleep on the bus; a couple of cups of coffee on arrival in Ranong in the morning; a 15 baht taxi ride to the pier; a nice longtail boat trip over to the other side; get stamped in, and then go walkabout for a bit. I would have something to eat over there; do some shopping; have a beer, and then return to Thailand, again, with a longtail boat.
Some lunch in Ranong, a large cold one to wash it down, and then on the bus back to Hua-Hin. No hassle and no rush.
Unfortunately, even though I did the trip so many times, I was never able to learn how to speak, read, and write Burmese.
