Antique style fans

There is a style of electric fan that is old fashioned but looks better than the modern style (It's also easier to stick your fingers in!)(and costs more).
There is a wall mounted version (Monsoon have one on the wall).
Any idea where you can buy one?

Fairly sure monsoon sell them, they also have a shop in town but I have never been to it,only looked at the few example items in the restaurant .You can get them in the weekend market and MBK .Siam old teak always has interesting items from their bulk purchases of buildings left over .Saw a few shops in Penang last time I was there with a multitude of knick knacks left over from colonial days .Real ones are not cheap unless you hunt around .

Thanks, I'll keep looking. The antique shop opposite YOBT has a couple of really old ones. Monsoon have had new but old style fans in the past but only floorstanders at the moment.

Theres a lighting shop in town on Petkasem, just North of Starbucks and Boots, and on the same side of the road. Been there years. I've never looked in there for fans but worth a try.

We've got two. One wall mounted and one freestanding. We got them on Petchkaseem Road. The place is past Market Village (200 - 400 yards?) on the other side of the road going south. It's near a hairdressers and it has a lot of water ornaments at the front. It's one of those open air sort of places, ie no windows and doors. They sell furniture as well.

There's a furniture shop and then there's the cafe. But then you knew that.

Monsoon, the shop, not the cafe, have to order from Bangkok.

Remind me to think twice before I say nothing next time.
