Hi All

Today I've transferred my donation of 25,000 bht to Mercy House... this makes a total of 29,000 so far... any other generous HHAD members out there? I figure 1,000bht is less than a night on the town to make these deserving kids feel more secure.... come on, open up!!! (if you can that is)

Hi All

Met with Barry tonite to discuss how we could consolidate fund raising efforts for Mercy House going forward. Main consideration was the accountability for any cash donations if under an "umbrella" fund. Have tentatively decided to establish a "trust fund" which will administer all cash donations to ensure proprietary standards and accountability, with a minimum 3 signatories to any disbursements from the fund. Any donations of food, clothing, independent assistance or outings direct to Mercy House are still very welcome, (and encouraged) of course. We are aiming to reassure cash donors that their money is responsibly distributed and totally accounted for.

The donations to date, amounting to around 50,000bht, will obviously not be included in the new trust fund as most have been transferred direct to Mercy House account, but future donations to these wonderful kids will be.

Lev, are you able to merge all previous threads to Mercy House so Barry and I can track developments and donations?? Would also be appreciated if we could keep (somehow) Mercy House top of the posts, bearing in mind your commercial obligations and responsibility to keep abreast of community concerns in an open forum.

Finally, Barry and I are very grateful for the generous assistance so far from the HHAD community and donations to date have given Mercy House a "breather" they really deserve.

Thanks again to everyone, please keep the donations coming when and if able... every Baht counts for these kids.

I would suggest locking all current threads on the topic and redirecting all further discussion to the main one here:

Yes, we can sticky this also to get more attention to it.
