A Champion of Traditional Thai Medicine

Post by MrPlum »

It was perhaps timely that, at the same time I was being challenged where to find natural physicians, the Bangkok Post was running an article on one of the most well known in Thailand. The Post article includes quite a lot of information covering many of the issues raised in this forum. I invite you to read it and make up your own minds. I have an appointment to visit him during the week to see how well he is geared up to see foreigners; what conditions he treats and if he knows of anyone practicing here in Hua Hin. If anyone wishes to come along please pm me.

I have also found traditional Ayurvedic healers (Vaidyas) in Chiang Mai and an Ayurvedic Clinic in Bangkok. I would include TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) practitioners in Chinatown but every time I find one, we have been unable to communicate!

I re-post this link, also from the Bangkok Post, about a Dr Wu who cured himself of Cancer using natural methods...

MrP

I would be interested to see the original diagnosis (not one written by Dr Wu) of his cancer, but could not find one. Do you have a link?

I take it that he was diagnosed in 1969 in China, so I doubt that records can be found.

There's always a book isn't there.
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

Read the article it so so until this paragraph.
"Mr Suraphan has also mastered astrology. He believes understanding the mystery behind the movements of celestial bodies complements the treatment of patients and astrology can be used to lead a charmed life and escape unlucky situations that might lie in wait."

What evidence and/or proof is there of this.
mrplum Your answer to this is going to be fascinating

Lol. Isn't there. Thousands of them. One of the reasons why I went to India to try these things for myself. Due to the host of claims and counter claims, regarding many of these approaches, there's no other way, IMO, than to suck it and see. Not that he's expressing anything radical.

Not sure about the astrology. Having had a few specialist readings and numerology I've been surprised at just how accurate they are. But I don't think it's material to any treatment. Cynics will snigger. It's an open mind kind of thing.

I agree over the astrology, although I have seen the effect that the moon has on severely handicapped mental patients when there is a full moon, they get very violent the rest of the month no problem. The home I visited the nurses hated being on duty on a full moon. QED
