A few beers.........and then a few more - INVITATION

Post by Ken »

I arrive in Hua Hin on Thursday with the intention of settling down.
At the age of 50, I'm fed up up of the rat race, well actually the North
of Scotland isn't really hectic, I just can't be bothered working anymore.

My girl friend lives in HH and it appeals to me much more than
Pattaya/Jomtien which is a bit rowdy for me. Golf is great there but
the place is too busy for me now.

My interests are golf, football, drinking and eating - that's probably in
reverse order. Oops forgot my girlfriend!!

I would like to stand my hand on Saturday night (24th).

Location? Suggestions please. 7.30 ish.

Always found that best way to find out more about a place is to speak
to the guys currently living there. So if you fancy a few free beers,
let me know.

Cheers

If you looking for Scots, you could try either Billy's Bar (Hua Hin Bazaar) or The Road Hole (Phoolsuk Road, the road going at the back of the temple. For English connections you could try London Lounge (same road as Road Hole), Johnnie Walkers (Soi Selakam) or Jungle Juice (Soi Selakam), for Irish, The Ship (Phoolsuk Rd). These are to start with.

Hey, I didn't realise HH had a "Scotch Corner" for expat Jockanese to congregate ! And when a Scotsman offers to stand his hand, beware not to get killed in the rush ! Sorry Ken - wish I could be there to join you, but if you become settled, I'm sure we can meet-up furra few swallys when next i escape the rat-race for a few weeks of R&R in sunny Hua-Hin !

Free Beer

Post by Ken »

Ok, just had a very quick cruise of bars after printing off map from website and hey that Chang beer is ok.

Going to start of off on Saturday in London Lounge at 8.30 pm and hope some of you guys will pop in for a beer or whatever which I will buy. Easy to spot as I intend to wear 'stupid' tee shirt saying 'it takes alot of balls to play golf the way I do' or maybe just a dark Calloway golf shirt. Big Guy, red hair or should I say red head as only have a little hair left - should not be hard to spot. Hope I am not left drinking alone :( .

Cheers
