NEW BAR

Post by chopper123 »

There is a new bar, a little different. It is opening soon about 24th Feb. They have a promotion whereby you can enter a FREE contest to win a holiday. They will also be introducing Bikini nights every Sunday. Its called Papillon, (which is French for butterfly) and its near the bottom of Soi Selakem. happy days !!!

Let's cut to the chase. Bikini night sounds fine, but.........

What is the price of a beer going to be? Women in bikinis suggests elevated prices.

Is it going to have a happy hour for the more experienced residents that like to drink early doors? You know who you are.

Food/snacks etc? Yey or Nay?

These are the main questions for new establishments, closely followed by music ambiance and all.

I understand that you may not know the answers but perhaps if someone becomes enlightened then they could share it with us all.

"Papillon' is also a great book and film, if I remember correctly, Steve McQueen. Incidentally, off topic I know but think his son, the designer, died this week.

That was (Lee) Alexander McQueen who died last week but he was NOT Steve McQueens son! His father was Ronald

My apologies, were the capitals and exclamation marks really necessary? :?

We were talking about a new bar, or the possibility of one.

Edit: I can only assume from your use of capitals and an exclamation mark that it seems a somewhat sanctimonious retort. I have also noted a lack of an edit.

Hmmmm.........High horses and contempt spring to mind, I could go on and on and on, but it would only get me in trouble.

Pass. Not a bad effort at trolling to be honest.

My sister met Papillon (Henri Charrière) in 1972, he died in 1973.

According to her, he was quite a character.
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

This new Bar is where Moto GP bar was, Moto GP was owned by Will and it would appear that Will now has a Restaurant in Bangkok.

I'm quite looking forward to the French to Thai pronunciation.

From Pa-pe-yon to Pa-pin-on.

There is also another new bar opened on Soi Serakem, next to Cheap Charlies bar, it opened about 10 days ago.
It is only a small bar and i am not sure of the name or what type of bar it will turn out to be.

Next to Cheap Charlies used to be Bon Bon bar. I'm assuming it's there because it was the only empty bar around there, I think.
Had enough of the trolls. Going to sleep. I may be some time....
