Craving Buffalo wings and a good burger...

There was a review from Feb/'10 that says it's still at the Paragon.

I'll be in BKK for a day on either side of my HH stay, so the burger (and wings, if it comes to that) can always wait.
There's a sports bar called Bully's on Sukhumvit road between Sois 4 and 2 (just around the corner from NP. It's a big place with a life sized bronze bull out front on the sidewalk so you can't miss it. Along with the best beer selection I've seen anywhere in this country (including HB draft from Munich!) they have Buffalo wings and burgers on the menu. I haven't tried the burgers but they look very good. I have tried the wings and they are some of the best tasting one's I've had here with one caveat. They are not spicy. The sauce used is delicious but not hot. I douse each one in Tabasco sauce (which seems to mix very well with the sauce they are cooked in to come out with the desired result) before I eat it and then it is definitely the best I've had here. They come (like in the U.S.) with ranch dressing and celery sticks for dipping.

BTW, "Buffalo" wings are not named after the animal but the city, Buffalo, New York where a restaurateur invented them.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I'll check it out. My hotel is just down the road from it.

I grew up across the river from Buffalo. I've had the "original Buffalo wings(TM)" many a-times at the old Anchor Bar, where they were invented. The Anchor Bar itself was one of the scummiest dirtiest dive "restaurants" I've ever had the bravery (stupidity?) to actually eat in, but DAMN~~! those wings were good. Watching the Sabres lose, followed by a couple dozen Anchor Bar wings was always a good night out.

Terrace90 has wings on the starters menu, but I'm not sure if they are Buffalo style or not since I usually go there for Mexican food, ribs, or a steak.

As of 2007 when the article was written, MOS was located at Central World, Paragon and Central Chidlom. Pete
Another to try is Bourbon Street - I've not been there for a few years, but the food was always bl**dy good

Their speciality is ribs, but all their food is good. Bourbon Street and all the Washington Square places are on their last legs as the owner of all the land is not renewing leases per my understanding. Making way for yet another big shopping/hotel complex. Bourbon Street I believe has a new place already picked out somewhere on Sukhumvit. Pete

Burger at the Banyan is pretty good. An Aussie style " Works burger" would do the trick also. Anyone have?

margaretcarnes wrote:You are right Pete - buffalo wings not a great British delicacy - but I have seen them on menus in HH and just can't flippin well remember where! POSSIBLY Jack and Ems, which is along the 'Railway Rd' (Thanon Rot Fai) on the right going South from the Railway Stn.
Maybe also at one or more of the Seafood restaurants on the Night Market.
- Jack and Em's do a great burger IMO.

I'd also recommend The Dizzy Dolphin for excellent ribs :D

Once we're rid of this Christmas madness I'll try Graces American Burgers and Grill at You Yen
on the corner of Soi 51 and Naepkehat. I've not been there but they seem to be open as per
an ad I saw. Whoever visits there should give us all a rundown on the chow there.

Their telephone is 032-531 191, should you want to check their opening hours.

Edit: they are in facebook, too: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Graces-Am ... 3978909016

I usually have a meal at Bourbon Street every time I'm in Bangkok and have known the American owner for years. And yes, they are moving very soon after the first of the year down to Ekamai. He has purchased a 7? story building that will house his new restaurant plus a hotel above. I go there for the New Orleans style Cajun cuisine which to my knowledge cannot be found any where else in LOS.
