hang-out in HH in August?

Discussion on where to go when the sun goes down in Hua Hin; bars, pubs, clubs, karaoke and general nightlife.

Hear - Hear. I'm travelling to HH in the fall for the first time. As an independent, older (definitely not mature!) traveller it would be nice to know where the the"regulars" in HH spend their time.

Although I prefer to travel alone, It is nice to know there is somewhere you can go to quaff a pint and have a chat.

Check out the Sugar Cane bar, cold beer, good company, great music & an entertaining fish as well, what more does one need!

Just aim for Soi Bintabat, and follow your nose. If you can't find a decent bar from there, you'd be as well to cash in your tickets now. The bar map on this site http://www.huahinafterdark.com/map.htm is very useful for the newcomer. You'll see that although compact it's a great area.

Thanks for the info.

Is there any specific time or days which are better than others. In Pattaya and Chang Mai, for example, the local expats have places and time where locals and visitors can get togethe. A.K.A. "Meet and Greet". Please don't be afraid to PM me

In Hua Hin 40 is considered young.

Sounds like my kind of place. My motto is: "Gowing old is mandatory, growing up is optional"

I wouldn't disagree with any of the replies above but avoid making such direct comparisons with Spain as you may offend the sensibilities of some of the locals (ex-pats that is)!
