For the L/B its the mixture of alcohol or yaba on top on BIG doses of estrogens that they take.

It happened sometime between 2.00am-2.30am.

My friend left Hua Hin two days ago and is seeking medical treatment in Pattaya, as he has a friend there he can stay with who has a house, car etc and knows a Swiss doctor there. He had to check out of the guesthouse here in Hua Hin that he had paid for already (for a month) as he couldn't get up the stairs. He was able to stay at another friend's house in Hua Hin for three nights.

His leg is definitely broken, around the knee area. One hospital has quoted him 270,000 baht for the surgery on his leg. He is looking for cheaper options, ie Military Hospital.

The lady-boy and the bar owner went to the house where he was staying and the ladyboy offered him 5000 baht in compensation in order to settle the matter and get him to sign a waiver/disclaimer or whatever, however my friend declined this offer.

It would appear that the initial dispute was indeed between the g/f & the l/b, then immediately after my friend saw his g/f, who is very small (less than 40kg), get a proper beating from what is essentially a man, he did what most men would do and tried to stand up for his g/f. He said that the l/b was very quick, and kneed him, then elbowed him, which caused him to fall down the steps. The l/b bottled him twice, once as he was falling, then again when he was lying on the road.

After that kind of assault, why didn't your friend ((or the GF - thai ?) contact the police ?

Did the police ask to see the CCTV footage or do the cameras only cover behind the bar area ?

HH Police Vs local L/B Vs Farang..it's a no-brainer I'm afraid.
Police will know this L/B, Bar owner will have already paid-off the MIB as soon as they arrived on the scene.
Police will want money from you (even if they do not ask for it, you're almost expected to know this bit) before they
will do anything.
(Can you just imagine if the boot was on the other foot...& this incident involved a Farang breaking the leg of an L/B in a bar-fight after midnight..?? The guy would have been man-handled into a cement cell, knocked about maybe, lined-up in front of the L/B & all it's friends..50 of 'em..all barking at him like walruses on a beach..you know the sound..fined a stooopid amount of Thai Baht, THEN an astronomical figure for medical bill,& compensation, then would have to pay another big lump to 'walk away' or have his passport black-stamped, & future entry denied.
CCTV..?? Many crimes MUST have captured L/Bs preying on Farangs after midnight, but this evidence will have been misplaced somehow..Never forget you are only a 'guest' in this Kingdom, & here also in 'Dodge City' T.I.T.

Ex=pats have little power, except that of the wallet. Dont spend a penny in any bar in which this man/woman/thing is a fixture.

Agreed! BOYCOTT IT!
As part-owner or brother-of-owner, he/she has a responsibility so stop trouble in the bar, not create it, or enflame it, and not assault punters with beer bottles!

Even drunk or troublesome customers can be removed from the bar without the use of Muay-Thai or beer bottles.

Have heard from other sources that this same lady-boy attacked a burly farang biker some time ago, and our neighbour says he/she threatened her for riding her motorbike too slowly for the ladyboy's liking.

ex-pats possibilities in matters like this are limited but we can show our disagreement in avoiding to enter this bar in the future minimum as long as C***y is working there. I know the bar owner very well,in fact she is a very nice lady, she also owns a well known accounting office in the street and i cannot immagine that she
agrees with the lb behaviour!

If you know her that well, presumably you'll mention this incident to her and suggest she does something about it?
