Great report Big Boy enjoyed looking at your photos. It did look though that the tide had gone out at the Market Village foam party I had this vision of waist deep foam being spewed out of a machine and beautiful people wearing swim suits and drinking cocktails. 8)

I wouldn't hold out to much hope of your phone making a full recovery my daughter chucked my wife's phone in the bath after drying it out slowly we got it working for the same amount of time before it died about two months after.

Good luck with that anyway.

Thanks Big Boy for the report and pictures. Sadly I was called to work two weeks ago and so missed this years escapades. I did enjoy last year and managed some good pictures with a small waterproof camera.

KowPatGai, try taking the battery out and leaving the phone buried in a bold of rice. Uncooked rice!
It tends to do a good job soaking up the moisture from within and has saved me a few times in the past. Then again, could be a good excuse not to hear the wife's call late at night whilst enjoying a last pint. :)

I've read that the best way to get a wet phone working again is to stick it into a bag or bowl of rice (completely submerged in and surrounded by the rice). The rice tends to suck the moisture out of the device. Try it for 24 hours. All it will cost as a bag of rice so not much to lose.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

This is what my wife done, put the phone in a cardboard box with rice in the airing cupboard for about 48 hours, before the phones demise it wouldn't stay on for more than twenty Minuits.

BB,

you said how surprised you were to see bintabaht so quiet. Possibly because the night before (sat night) had been the busiest and wettest I had ever seen it. The whole Bintabloc was heaving until well past 1. Possibly someone may have pictures...

I don't frequent that area much since moving here to live, so I can only say it as it was - I included a photo of nothingness. This really surprised me because everywhere else was so busy, and I'd spent so many previous Songkrans having great fun there. However, people were constantly moving, and my timing could have been atrocious. I did put in a note saying that my son had seen it busier later in the day.

Unintentionally ended up in the back sois of Cha Am today and was surprised to find Songkran still in full swing while just a few clicks away all is back to normal here in Hua Hin.
