TRICARE acceptance at Bangkok Hospital HH?
Bangkok Hospital in Bangkok accepts my TRICARE medical insurance (as per the TRICARE provider website). Bangkok Hospital in Hua Hin is a branch of the same hospital. Can anyone confirm for me if the Hua Hin branch accepts TRICARE, or, is it only the Bangkok branch that will accept my TRICARE insurance? Thanks

I have used the hua hin branch and am covered under TRICARE but you have to prepay and submit the claim to tricare for reimbursement. Since the cost of medical care is much less than the US I was reimbursed for all the care I had when I had an overnight stay due to a motorbike accident less the 25% and the annual deductible of $150 single or $300 for a family.

Every hospital I've been to in Thailand accepts my 'cash' money and gives me the paperwork to file my TRICARE claim on my own.
From the JUSMAG website:
a. No Direct Billing. Several hospitals in Thailand list *TRICARE* on their webpage as *insurance* they accept. However, that is only for active duty personnel and their eligible dependents. It does not include retirees. Even though these hospitals are fully aware of the coverage policy differences between active duty and retirees, they have yet to make the distinction on their webpages. This misleading information continues to be a source of confusion and consternation to retirees who have not first familiarized themselves with TRICARE coverage for retirees in Thailand. In actuality, not a single hospital in Thailand is presently willing to legitimately direct bill TRICARE for medical services provided to retirees.

This topic is old so I thought I'd update it. Basically nothing new.
BKK hospital does not bill Tricare for in-patient or out-patient, per the head cashier.
Translation, have other insurance that they do accept or enough cash to pay your bill and wait for reimbursement.
If you're like me and have pre-existing conditions, don't waste your money on other insurance because they will not cover you.
