Cable TV Connection
Cable TV Connection
We had the standard cable connection working fine, but over the weekend the sound quality became terrible. Does anyone have the address or phone number for the cable company (the standard deal, Australia Network, etc).
Thanks for your help!

Don't listen to those guys - they're lucky, they have a life & aren't stuck in watching TV every night like me!!!
UBC is OK, depending on what you want. It does occasionally get a little pixellated or lose images completely, but not all that often.
There are different packages, for different prices & requirements. I've got the cheapest one, as I don't like sports & I'm not hugely into movies anymore, I still get 4 movie channels, though. It's not worth it if you'll be spending all your time out, as it's not that cheap (my package is 905 bt per month), but if you watch a lot of TV it's OK.
Word of warning though - programmes tend to get repeated ad infinitum, esp on stations like BBC Entertainment. Oh, and if it rains heavily, you lose the signal completely!

I can't be bothered. Cable is useless and I have a love/hate relationship ongoing with them.
I promise you, they don't care about us farangs. We're twats.

Cable, I hate you. If it wasn't for my wife, I'd blow you up. You hate me as a farang and I hate you too.

Yes I have had a similar problem recently. When watching a couple of West Ham matches I kept seeing a group of white pixels flying past the West Ham goalkeeper and into the net.buksida wrote:UBC is great if you want to spend most of your time watching pixels.

I just can't get to grips with the censorship.
It's OK to smoke, but as soon as the offending cigarette gets near the mouth, it's pixed out?
It's OK to fire guns and blow people away left, right and centre. However, it's definitely wrong to point that pistol at someone's head/body.
Why do the censors bother? It really pisses me off.
